ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:

  • Are you frustrated by trying to lose weight and failing time and time again?

  • Is it hard to lose weight even when you have a good diet?

  • Do you want quick results to stay motivated?

  • Are you very overweight and feel like nothing will help?

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist. It mimics a hormone that is released in the stomach to signal the brain you are full.

It works to slow the emptying of the stomach to feel satisfied and full faster.

Semaglutide helps with insulin resistance and can reduce food cravings.

Semaglutide can help with weight loss that, in turn, will improve risk factors for heart disease and many other chronic health conditions.

BENEFITS OF SEMAGLUTIDE WEIGHT LOSS

  • Long-term safe weight loss approved by the FDA when used with diet and exercise

  • Average weight loss of 15% body mass

  • Regulates blood sugar aiding in digestion to help you feel full longer

  • Acts on appetite centers in the brain to decrease hunger

  • Helps to speed up your metabolism and increase fat-burning reducing insulin resistance and glycogen

  • Helps maintain normal glucose levels

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?

The side effects of Semaglutide are typically mild — especially when compared to the complications associated with overweight and obesity. People taking Semaglutide for weight loss may experience:

Allergic reactions – rash, itching, hives, swelling, change in vision, dehydration – thirst, dry mouth, dark urine, dizziness, fatigue, gastrointestinal issues – nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and gassiness, gall bladder problems – stomach pain, heart palpitations, kidney injury – swelling hands or feet, decrease in urine, depression, thyroid cancer.

Gastrointestinal issues are the most common complaint among people just starting Semaglutide. But you may be able to reduce the side effects by beginning with a lower dose and then slowly increasing the amount you take.

WHO SHOULD (AND SHOULD NOT) TAKE SEMAGLUTIDE FOR WEIGHT LOSS?

The FDA recommends Semaglutide for weight loss if you meet one of the following criteria:

  • Have a BMI of 27 or greater and at least one weight-related condition, such as hypertension, Type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol

  • Have a BMI of 30 or greater

AVOID SEMAGLUTIDE IF YOU…

BEFORE STARTING SEMAGLUTIDE

If you’re considering semaglutide for weight loss, your first step should be consulting your primary care physician (PCP). They know your personal and family medical history and can guide you in the best treatment for your condition. If you have diabetes and already take a different medication, talk to your physician about acceptable (and safe) combinations of diabetes medication.

Due to slowed gastric emptying, medication dosages you are taking may need to be adjusted such as thyroid medication. Check with your PCP for this information.

WHERE TO KEEP SEMAGLUTIDE?

Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Store in the refrigerator until ready to use for up to 1 month and then discard. Discard syringes into a sharps container.

WHAT IF I MISS A DOSE?

If you miss a dose and the next scheduled dose is more than 2 days away, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If you miss a dose and the next scheduled dose is less than 2 days away, do not take the missed dose. Take the next dose on the scheduled day. If you miss more than 2 doses, contact your provider for instructions.
